Rebecca Cable, Renewals Operations Manager
Hi, I’m Becky, and I’m the Operations Manager for the Renewals Department. My role is to lead and support everyone in the department to achieve their goals and deliver exceptional service to our customers. One of my top priorities is to do my best to create a climate where our management team is able to focus on supporting and encouraging our employees.
How does Admiral support your career development
Throughout my 12 years with Admiral I've always been able to count on great support and guidance. I started working in our Wales office as one of the youngest employees and I'm happy to say my inexperience was never a barrier. I learned quickly that hard work and perseverance was encouraged and I benefited from great coaching on how to maximize my talents and develop my career.
What are the rewards of your job?
I'm rewarded every day; I have the pleasure of working with people who are talented, passionate and fun! I'm proud to be both an employee and a shareholder in an award winning company that truly values and appreciates its employees. I love that I get the opportunity to personally coach and mentor our staff. I have benefited from some great coaching over the years and I appreciated the opportunity to share this with my team. They in turn teach me new things every day. At Admiral we recoginze two way communication is key to maintaining a happy, productive workforce. Some of our most innovative ideas have come from front line staff who deal with our customers each day. No two days are ever the same; there is always a new and exciting challenge.
What is your experience at Admiral?
I started working in Admiral’s Customer Service department in 1997 as a frontline employee. Because I worked at a company with a firm policy on promoting from within I took advantage of opportunities to work in different divisions of Admiral Group. In 2007 I was presented with a fantastic career opportunity. I was selected to travel to Canada to recruit and train the very first members of our Halifax Team. I have acted in a number of different roles in Canada including Department Trainer, Quality Controller, and Management Trainer until I assumed my current role as Renewals Operations Manager.
Why Admiral?
The Admiral culture is closely aligned with my own business philosophy and that’s important to me. The past two years in Canada have been incredibly challenging and rewarding. Not only do I plan to continue to enjoy my career life with Admiral but I have committed to remaining in the Halifax office. I cannot wait to see what the future holds. I can say we are off to a brilliant start and show no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
