Hi, I’m Alex MacDonald and I'm the Vice President of the Halifax office. In my role I support department managers so that they in turn can provide the best possible support to all of our team members throughout the organization.

Experience at Admiral
I joined Admiral Group 3 years ago, and I haven’t looked back. With just a basic understanding of UK motor insurance (I grew up in Halifax), I had some learning to do. To transfer the knowledge that I needed, I worked in our head office in Cardiff, Wales for 4 months to learn the ins and outs of our business. Prior to joining Admiral I worked in customer service in the banking and wireless telephone industries.
Typical day
A typical day for me involves a close look at our business, how we are doing as a company and what's upcoming for the week and month ahead. I spend about half of my time as a coach and mentor in support of my team. I like to think of myself as the “head coach” at the Halifax office.
